San Francisco Small Dogs - Off-Leash Beach Walks

Socialization, Exercise, and Fun for Small Dogs
(under 20 lbs, but we don't carry a scale - 21/22 lbs should be OK if they're gentle)
EVERY SATURDAY at 10:00 AM - Ocean Beach, San Francisco
Year-round, every week (except one Saturday in October)
rain-or-shine - usually 50+ dogs, sometimes 100+ dogs.
► No Aggressive Behavior ◄
► No Leashes (no exceptions!)◄
► No Treats, Balls, or Toys ◄
► No Poop Left Behind ◄

Our rules and guidelines have kept these gatherings safe and peaceful for many dogs and people.
Our gatherings are free community activities.
They are strictly non-commercial - no selling or promoting of any kind is allowed.

If your dog is not trustworthy off-leash, please don't bring her/him.

If you don't find what you need, ask our volunteer BEACH WALK MONITORS on the beach.
Our rules and guidelines are the result of a lot of trial and error.
We can never please everybody completely, but these few things
have proven to keep our community activities fun and peaceful.
To sustain our problem-free record, we ask everybody who
attends to help uphold our Rules & Guidelines, and to
remind others when it becomes necessary.

We love fog, clouds, and even rain.
Some of us even show up during torrential downpours.
The beach is always great to walk on, even during or after rain.
OFF-LEASH LAW: Off-leash is currently legal on parts of Ocean Beach (north of Stairway 21).
Each dog owner is responsible for keeping their dog's off-leash activities within legal areas.
Our beach walks remain completely within the legal off-leash areas.
Tickets are sometimes issued for violating leash laws, and can be very expensive.
Please keep an eye on the news and notify us if you learn of any changes or updates.
