Linda McCluskey is an American painter who, with her own unique style, plays with perspective to create a completely new vision that combines reality with feelings of childlike awe . She painted for18 years in Paris had a long time studio in 59 Rivoli. She now lives on the Rivieras exploring the light, the nature and the life. Besides Paris, she has created series of San Francisco, Dublin, Liguria, New England, Switzerland and France.

“ My goal is to paint a memory. Like when you spend a beautiful afternoon in a cafe with friends, you dont remember the trash on the street or the cars going by. You remember conversations and laughter. .It's not a hard memory like a photo which captures everything. The memory has a softer, selective lens. Soft edges , balanced rounded perspectives .”

The vernissage on the 7 April will also include the music of the Chic Chanteuses, a vocal duet based in Nice.

I am very pleased to announce that I have been included in Ruby Boukabou's new book " Art Lover's

Guide to Paris." Though I am no longer connected to the 59 Rivoli, I am represented as a permanent

Anatomy of a Commission

Since leaving my studio in 59 Rivoli- Paris, I have been working on many commissions. This is how it
works.
Normally, I like to go to the place, walk around, do a drawing and take lots of photos of everything all
around. In this case, it wasn't possible. The people wanted a painting of Ronda, Spain. They sent me
photos of their visit and I searched the internet for photos as well. Here is the step by step of our creation.
This took months to finish as the paint must dry between layers and I paint in about 20 different layers.
This painting itself took about 100 hours . If you would like to commission a painting, let me know!
