2007 ANNUAL REPORT
During the first quarter, I helped develop a public relations and marketing communications program effort for Michaels & Associates Docntrain Ltd. The client soon reported that a press release I wrote had generated an initial interview request less than an hour after it was emailed to ten media representatives. To the see the resulting article and the press release, visit: Press Release: Docntrain Ltd.
"Glenn has proven talent for corporate marketing. He takes great care to understand
the customer and creates simple, creative, effective messages to increase their brand
awareness in the marketplace. Glenn's unique writing approach resonates with the
target audience and differentiates the client from others in the industry."
—Patti Quinn, Director of Media Design, Michaels & Associates—
At the beginning of the second quarter, Take Charge America gave me a contract to develop an online help system for a proprietary Customer Relationship Management system using RoboHelp. In September, I received the following note.
“Thanks for the excellent job you have done. It has definitely exceeded my expectations.”
—Jason Miles, Director of Enterprise Architecture, Information Technology (2007)—
In a later team meeting, a new CIO, John Paulick, described my work as "amazing." As indicated above, that contract expired at the end of December.
During the fourth quarter, a Phoenix PR firm asked me to ghostwrite several articles on a freelance basis. The first and largest assignment, a 1200-word article, was generated over a weekend. I interviewed the client on a Friday afternoon. The draft article went out the following Sunday evening. (To view my draft article, see: Magazine Article: Phoenix Rising.) Later, the AE sent me the following email.
"The client raved about it today – they liked the flow and the messaging, and only had
a few 'single word' edits. Again, my thanks! This client doesn’t compliment very often."
—C. Morgan, AE, AC MarketingPR (2007)—
